Emerging Leader

This award will recognize CIP Society members who, through some early achievements and successes, are seen as an emerging leader within their organization or the industry.

Personal Qualities:

A Society member who:

  • Has a passion for learning
  • Has demonstrable leadership skills
  • Is dedicated to his/her profession and committed to his/her employer
  • Is a role model, advisor, mentor demonstrating his/her ability to positively influence people
  • Has demonstrated the ability to cultivate new leaders within his/her organization and community
  • Makes a positive difference to his/her company, community, and the industry
  • Is respected and admired; a person of high personal integrity

Professional Commitment and Accomplishment:

  • Has demonstrated leadership qualities in his/her personal and/or professional life, and who is seen as an emerging leader at the local, regional, or national level within his/her organization or industry
  • Has demonstrated initiative and successes in the implementation of program/s that have benefited the organization
  • Provides an excellent role model to those starting out in their insurance career

Industry Contribution:

  • Gives back to the industry
  • Is active in the Institute(s) or other industry organizations
  • Has the potential to contribute as a leader in the industry

Community Engagement:

  • Gives back to the community where they live in either a leadership or general capacity
