Mission, Vision and Values

Mission: The CIP Society's mission is to foster and promote the education, experience and ethics of our members and the recognition of the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designations as the premier designations in property and casualty insurance.

Vision: The CIP Society's vision is to be the foremost professional organization for those working in the property and casualty insurance industry in Canada. A division of The Insurance Institute of Canada, the Society was established by The Institute's Board of Governors in 1998.

Members of the Society are dedicated experts who have completed a rigorous qualification requiring several years of study leading to completion of national exams, strict adherence to a code of conduct and years of insurance experience.  For information on the CIP and FCIP programs, Get Connected 

Membership: The CIP Society's membership is comprised of graduates of the Insurance Institute's FCIP and CIP programs.
