Keeping you at the forefront of the Industry.
At the Insurance Institute, we believe that the learning process is never complete. So even as a graduate, the ever-changing insurance industry requires that all members commit to lifelong learning and professional development. To help keep you at the forefront of the industry, the CIP Society offers a variety of seminars under the PROedge banner. These seminars offer you an advance-level learning experience including application of knowledge and skills, case studies, workshops and topical discussions.
The Institute also offers additional learning opportunities including:
- Success Series Seminars which are targeted at our ‘undergraduate’ members and offer introductory education on key insurance principles and practice, as well as personal and professional development
- Skills Shop On-line which offer 37 unique learning paths, including over 200 individual courses applicable to many business applications and settings.
We encourage you to find the right fit for you and your staff development objectives.
For Participants
PROedge seminars are usually full-day or half-day seminars. Seminar topics are continually enhanced and updated and are determined via input from our annual member survey, Institute Chairs, Institute/Chapter managers, the CIP Society National Council and seminar participants’ evaluations.
Each participant receives a comprehensive binder and PowerPoint presentation materials as resources. Participants may be eligible for provincially recognized continuing professional development credits, where applicable, including the CIP Society’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program (offering 10 credits for a full-day and 5 credits for a half-day seminar). While national in scope and development, the seminars are often presented by, or in combination with, local instructors/presenters to ensure applicability and relevance for seminar attendees.
